About Dr Edward Bach MB, BS, DPH, the Flower Remedies (est. 1936), and their Usage

Dr. Edward Bach, the noted British physician, bacteriologist, homeopath and researcher concluded more than half a century ago that his patient’s ills were directly related to their negative states of mind. He recognized that negative moods induce imbalance and disharmony which threaten health. States such as fear, jealousy, worry, hopelessness and lack of self-confidence so affect a person’s vitality that resistance to disease diminishes. Replacing the negative state with its opposite virtue was necessary to regain harmony and balance. Dr. Bach’s healing remedies derived from 38 plants and trees make up his revolutionary therapeutic system.

It was Dr. Bach’s intention to develop a method of treatment as simple as it is safe to use, so that all could derive benefit. The remedies can be taken by persons of all ages without danger of an over-dose or side-effects. The remedies are 100% innocuous and will not interfere with any other substance in the body including pharmaceutical products.

How to Select and Take your Bach Remedies

Take notice of the personality traits within yourself and your responses to situations that you would like to change. Select those traits that are causing you unhappiness or distress limiting your choice to 6 or less. Your custom mix will be prepared for you at the time of your consultation. You are asked to take 4 drops 4 times daily including once upon rising and once prior to bedtime. Your mix should last approximately 3 weeks. Take note of any changes you experience. Taking the remedies can be described as peeling the layers of an onion. Sometimes clearing an emotion can uncover another more deeply rooted emotion. The results are gentle and effective. The remedies should be stored at normal room temperature, away from direct sunlight.

BIO

My fascination with the planets began in my teens, changed the course of my life and led me on a life long journey of learning about the influence the planets in our environment had on our daily lives. I never missed American astrologer Sydney Omar’s daily columns in the Montreal Star in the 1970’s. Since astrology was considered “quack science” despite its ancient origins, I wanted to bring experts together to validate the science of astrology.
I pursued my academic aspirations attending John Abbott College where I studied Humanities, Film and Media (1981, 1982). Later I obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA) in 1985 at Ryerson University where I studied Media, Literature, Philosophy and Sociology.
In 1985 I produced a live in- studio recorded debate entitled “Astrology Fact or Fiction?” The following year I produced a live panel discussion entitled: Astrology: A Blessing or a Curse (1986).
My passion for all things design led me to OCAD (Ontario College of Art and Design) where I studied Foundations of Design (1988), Form and Structure (2009), and Objects and Environments (2009). I designed and built some furniture pieces and lighting fixtures, and worked in kitchen sales and design.

In 1987 I discovered the work of Dr. Edward Bach and decided to try a remedy for impatience which was successful. I vowed to study Dr. Bach’s healing remedies in the future.
After teaching a general interest course in astrology for seniors, I developed a passion for teaching and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) at Laurentian University (1990). I worked with the Toronto District School Board where I taught in the French Immersion program in the primary division. I obtained specialization in Guidance and Primary education, taught for 30 years and retired in 2018.
In order to enhance my knowledge and expertise in Astrology, I obtained a diploma from the Canadian Association of Astrological Education (Dip.CAAE) in 2012. I was interviewed by Linden McIntyre on the CBC morning show The Current when Pluto was demoted and declared a non planet (2011). As planned, I studied at the Dr. Edward Bach Centre in the UK and became a BFRP (Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner) in 2019.
My passion for astrology and Bach remedies has fostered a greater understanding of the human experience and the interconnectedness of all things. I continue my work in Toronto as an Astrologer and Bach Practitioner where I thrive to empower individuals to embrace their true selves, unlock their creative potential, and navigate life’s journey with wisdom and authenticity.
